Mazda Tops Its European Market

When you think about Mazda vehicles, the all new MAZDA3 probably comes to mind. With its roomy hatchback and affordable base pricing, who wouldn't want to stop by Manhattan Mazda in New York city for a test drive? New York car shoppers have already helped Mazda top sales figures here, but what about overseas?

In Scotland, where highland mountains and bagpipes are key features of the landscape, Mazda has made its mark.

Last year, the first Mazda dealer in that country opened in Edinburgh. The dealer group, called Eastern Western, was founded in 1927 and has spent 10 years trying to get Mazda going throughout their land. The location is located near landmark rugby stadium Murrayfield.

Over just 365 days, Eastern Western's Mazda dealer has become a top-three Mazda sales force in the United Kingdom. Prospects, already going strong, are looking up for the coming three years:

"One trend we have identified is that Mazda customers are very loyal and were absolutely delighted to have a new Mazda outlet in such a prime spot," explained Mazda's Dealer Principal John La Trobe.

"Mazda UK is also a great company to work with - always ready to listen and provide help when they can. Now with the upgraded Mazda3 on the way and then a whole new range of SKYACTIV models starting with MAZDA CX5 in the spring. I really think our second year as a Mazda dealer will be exciting and see us continue to grow and develop this new business."1
