Imagine the MAZDA6 midsize sedan. Now envision it with flared fenders, a mean grille, luxe airs, and a rear end so toned it looks like it's taken years of Pilates. Got it?
If you're picturing something that looks like the M Series from the front and the 6 Series from rear, you do. Now, keep that image in your mind, because that's what the new Mazda Takeri concept looks like... and likely what the next Mazda midsize sedan to go into production will look like, too.
That's right. The new Mazda lineup is gaining a new midsize sedan in the near future. And, all signs indicated the Takeri is its forbearer. Unfortunately, beyond exterior features, Manhattan Mazda has little else to divulge at this time. It shouldn't be long, though, before we have more juicy details to share. Mazda is planning to officially unveil the concept at December's Tokyo Motor show. From there...it's likely pushing on to Detroit for a grand debut at the International Auto Show, in January.
A few specs we dare to well, speculate, are the essence of Mazda's Kodo (Soul of Motion) design language - evident in pictures of the Takeri - and the integration of SkyActiv technology. The latter, of course, bodes extremely well for adrenaline fiends with zero-compromise to efficiency. But again - these are mere hypothesis.
Be sure to stay tuned for hard data, coming shortly after the Takeri's imminent Tokyo showcase. Manhattan Mazda, located at 787 11th Avenue, isn't just committed to offering the foremost new Mazda and used-car lineups to drivers in the New York City area, we're dedicated to keeping you informed.
